Marion, Ind- The Aggie men's 4x100-meter relay team—comprised of Dillon Bruington, Kamron Neal, Josh Granillo, and Austin White—could not finish (DNF) their preliminary heat, cutting short a highly anticipated showing in the event.

Despite the early disappointment, Kamron Neal provided a significant highlight in the men's 200-meter dash prelims. The standout sophomore lined to a time of 20.88 seconds to finish second in his heat, earning an automatic qualification for Friday's national final.

Neal isn't done yet—he's set to return to the track tomorrow, Thursday, at 3:40 PM CT for the preliminary round of the men's 100-meter dash.

Head coach Cyrus Hall mentioned after the day,"Well, it's cold and rainy out here in Indiana. Our men's 4x100 botched the first exchange and did not finish. They were hurt by very poor coaching on my part. I changed the order and failed to get them enough practice the last few weeks to ensure that they were comfortable with their new roles. I'm very proud of them for making it this far. Just wish I'd have coached them better. They deserved better. I feel bad for Josh and Austin because they didn't even get to compete. Hopefully we have the opportunity to come back here next year and perform better.

Kamron came back in the 200m and I think he almost caught a false start. I haven't talked to him yet so it could have been a starter error. But nonetheless he was allowed to race and that's all we care about. He didn't run great, but he did enough to get to the final on Friday night. He's gonna come back tomorrow and run the 100m. Hopefully we can get some better weather."
