Higgins Named to NFCA NAIA All-Region First Team

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Oklahoma Panhandle State University's Trinity Higgins has been selected to the 2025 NFCA NAIA All-Region First  Team, the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) announced today..

Higgins, a junior second baseman from  earned the honor after an exceptional season at the plate and in the field. Starting all 53 games for the Aggies, she posted a team-best .444 batting average and .519 on-base percentage, collecting 72 hits in 162 at-bats. Higgins also scored 59 runs, drove in 17 RBIs, and tallied 79 total bases with a .488 slugging percentage.

Her offensive production included four doubles and a home run, and she was a constant threat on the base paths, swiping an astounding 74 bases in 79 attempts. She also showed great plate discipline, drawing 22 walks while striking out just 23 times on the year.

The NFCA All-Region teams are selected by member head coaches across six NAIA regions. The awards recognize the top student-athletes for their performance during the season. Players are nominated and voted on by coaches in their respective regions. If not already selected through the voting process, conference Players and Pitchers of the Year from member institutions are added to the second team, provided they were nominated and received votes.
