OKLAHOMA CITY — Middle blocker
Skyla Stark was honored Monday as the SAC Attacker of the Week, as announced by the conference office for performances from Sept. 7-13.
The award is the first in the Hill College transfer's career, and it marks the first time OPSU has claimed a weekly attacker honor since head coach
Ilani Dalton took over the program in 2024.
Stark led the Aggies to a pair of dominant wins in their home-opening weekend Sept. 12-13 inside Anchor D Arena. Her week-long stat line consisted of 24 kills (3.43 per set) on just 44 swings for an attack percentage of .523.
The Abilene, Texas, native was also a presence at the net with a solo block and four block assists across the two matches, helping account for her 27.0 points on the week.
In a four-set win over Oklahoma City on Friday, Stark tallied a career-high 17 kills with only one attack error. She followed that performance with an error-free, seven-kill effort Saturday as the Aggies won their 10th straight match over Southwestern Christian.
Stark and Panhandle State (4-7, 2-2 SAC) look to extend their winning streak Tuesday at Wayland Baptist (4-4, 3-1). First serve is set for 6 p.m.
