GOODWELL, Okla. — Oklahoma Panhandle State University Athletics has named equestrian's Eva Johnson and Austin White of track & field as the Mack's Motorsports Aggies of the Week for their efforts from March 16-22.
Johnson makes her second appearance as Aggie of the Week for good reason as the senior out of New Mexico traveled down to Las Cruces to compete in her second straight equestrian Western Semi-Finals to punch her ticket to Nationals in May, and she accomplished just that. Johnson placed third in open reining and has earned a spot to compete in Mill Spring, North Carolina, for the National Championships, held May 1-3, to conclude her remarkable four-year tenure with the equine team.
Speaking of four-year seniors, White had a big weekend in Leavenworth, Kansas, where the track & field teams competed at the USM Spire Team Challenge. The 2025 4x100-meter relay nationals qualifier helped lead his team to a first-place finish out of eight squads in the event on Saturday with a time of 41.30 seconds. White wasn't finished just yet though as he placed third in the 200-meters dash in a pool of 53 competitors with a time of 21.74 seconds, beating the next closest Aggie by 0.49 seconds.
