Box Score Goodwell, Okla.Jace Kerr, Dillan Landers and DK Sumo accounted for a combined 67 points in the Aggies' first victory of the season, as Panhandle State Men's Basketball claimed a 101-64 win over Calvary University on Monday evening at Anchor D Arena in the Oscar Williams Field House.

Kerr topped the charts with a game-high of 24 points and fell just shy of the double-double with nine rebounds in the game. Landers totaled 23 points and landed six shots from beyond the arc, he also took down five rebounds. Sumo knocked down four threes to pull in 20 total points for the Aggies.

Panhandle State held a 16-point (46-30) advantage after the first period of play, and won the second half 55-34, gaining ten second-chance points and 14 points off turnovers after the break.  For the game, the Aggies scored 25 points of takeaways, totaling eight steals on the night. Thomas Ellis and Tucker Powell each had two steals in the game.

The Aggies led at the boards with 43 rebounds to Calvary's 21. Jaedon Whitfield maintained a heavy presence with a game-high of ten rebounds and had two blocks on the Warriors. Whitfield also led at the line for Panhandle sinking four of seven free throw shots. As a team the Aggies only managed to make 52.6 percent of their free throw attempts, while Calvary hit on 65.2 percent of their attempts from the line.

With an even 1-1 record on the season, Head Coach Jerry Olson offered his comments after the game, "I was pleased with how unselfish we were with the ball (15 assists). We got up quick, but then took a break at the half defensively, we didn't stay consistent. But, when you have seven freshmen, you expect a few mistakes early in the season." He spoke on individual efforts noting, "Kerr played great tonight, and Sumo can be a great one here for us; Landers also had a great night."

The Panhandle State men take their home court again this week with a double-header matchup against Champion Christian on Thursday and Friday, Nov. 9 and 10. Thursday's game begins at 7 p.m. and Friday's contest tips off after the women's home-opener against Langston at 6 p.m. Live stats and free live video streaming for all home games is offered online at opsuaggies.com.
