BETHANY, Okla. – The Oklahoma Panhandle State University volleyball team was defeated at Southwestern Christian University, 3-0, in a Sooner Athletic Conference match at Pickens-Springer Gymnasium. The Aggies (6-11, 3-7 SAC) went 0-2 on its weekend road trip after falling to the Eagles (10-8, 4-5 SAC) by set scores of 25-14, 25-17, 25-21.
As a team, Panhandle had four blocks and served up seven aces in the contest. SCU managed 10 aces against the Aggie defense and post 3.0 blocks as a unit.
Panhandle's attack was led by six kills from
Richelle Carroll. Carroll had a .125 hitting percentage, serving a pair of aces, as well.
Skylar Cleavinger had another good outing, with five kills, and
Mia Moore added four. Senor
Kendra Butler registered three kills, one ace and three assisted blocks.
Katelyn Faulk,
Sydnee Saunders and
Ruth Ard all had two kills for OPSU. Saunders matched Butler with three assisted blocks, as well.
Saunders, Butler and Cleavinger all hit .500 in attacks for the match. Faulk had 17 assists from her setter position, along with three digs.
