Munsch named All-OklahomaSports.net 3rd team

Goodwell, Okla. -  Oklahoma Panhandle State University women's basketball standout Addison Munsch continued to reap the rewards of her outstanding 2018-19 season, earning third team honors on the All-OklahomaSports.net women's basketball honor roll. The All-OSN squad is compiled from NCAA Division II and NAIA colleges from across the state.
 
Previously, Munsch was also recognized as third team All-Sooner Athletic Conference.
 
Munsch, a junior from Boise City, Okla. capped off her stellar season ranking in the SAC's top 20 across six categories and posting a season-high 31 points against conference foe Langston on Dec. 13. She finished in the 11th spot in overall SAC scoring, responsible for 445 total points, landing her in seventh in points per game, averaging 15.34. Starting all 29 games this season, Munsch was able to end her junior year by eclipsing 1,000 career points. Out of the 29 games, Munsch tallied in double figures 22 times and seven were 20-plus point performances.

In other SAC categories, Munsch ranked fourth in field goal percentage (.485) and also came in 12th in free-throw percentage (.653). She was also 10th in total rebounds (198) and was sixth in average rebounds per game (6.83), as well as seventh in double-doubles with five total on the season.

Leading the Lady Aggies to their first post-season appearance since the 2006 term, OPSU Head Coach Victor Esparza doted proudly on the junior guard: "Addison is very well-deserving of this honor, she has been great for us all year. I am so proud of the leader she has become and how she has grown every year."

Also a SAC Scholar Athlete, the Biology major finishes her year with a 3.875 GPA, sporting high marks on and off the court. 

The Aggies finished the 2018-19 regular season at 14-15 and landed in eighth in the Sooner Athletic Conference standings at 10-12. The women's team faced Oklahoma City in the SAC quarterfinals on Tuesday (Feb. 26) and ultimately fell to the Stars 45-78, but the Aggies walked away with Panhandle having competed in post-season play for the first time in thirteen years.
