Three-match unbeaten streak on the line for Men's Soccer

GOODWELL, Okla. - With its eyes on extending a three-match unbeaten streak, the Oklahoma Panhandle State University men's soccer team will host the University of the Southwest on Saturday evening (Sept. 114) in a non-conference contest. Please note that kickoff at Anchor D Stadium at Carl Wooten Field is at 7 p.m. CT, for the Aggies' only match of the week.

NOTES:
*BEGINNINGS: 2019 marks the first-ever season of Panhandle State Soccer.
 
*SCOUTING THE MUSTANGS: University of the Southwest enter the match versus Panhandle with a 1-3 overall record. The Mustangs are coming off of a 2-0 home win over Sul Ross State University last Saturday (Sept. 7). Of its three losses, two have come versus NCAA Division II (UT-Permian Basin and Lubbock Christian) teams and the other to OPSU's SAC mate, Wayland Baptist. USW is a member of the Red River Athletic Conference.
 
*AGGIES AT-A-GLANCE: Panhandle sports a record of 2-1-1 and has not lost since the opening match in program history (to Texas College on August 24).  Manuel DePierola leads the Aggies with 5 goals scored, all in one match versus Barclay. Cheslon Carollisen has three goals in two matches played.
 
*LEADING THE SAC, BACK-TO-BACK: Aggies Manuel DePierola and Cheslon Carollisen have won back-to-back Sooner Athletic Conference (SAC) Offensive Player of the Week awards.
 
*QUICK STARTS: OPSU is out-shooting its opponents 51-22 in the first half of matches.
 
*NAIA TOP-10 LEADERS: In the NAIA team statistics, the Aggies rank No. 2 in assists per game (5.50), No. 4 in total assists (22) and No. 9 in shots per game. Individually, Vincente Tellos is No. 4 in total assists (5) and No. 5 in assists per game (1.25).
 
*NEXT UP: Panhandle State will travel to Haviland, Kan., for a rematch versus Barclay University. In the last meeting, the Aggies rolled on a 14-1 record-setting day.
