DK Sumo IV led Oklahoma Panhandle State University men's basketball with 17 points, but his team suffered a Sooner Athletic Conference road loss at Wayland Baptist University, 94-59. The Aggies trailed wire-to-wire to the Pioneers, who received votes in the latest NAIA poll.

Sumo turned in an 8-for-15 shooting effort from the floor, with one trey. Sumo led OPSU with four steals, while also dishing off two assists.

Sophomore
Quentin Fankhouser was Panhandle's only other player to hit double digits. Fankhouser was an 3efficient 5-for-9 shooting. He topped the Aggies' team by hauling in seven rebounds, five on the defensive glass. Fankhouser also had a pair of steals.

Freshman guard
Jalen Williams had his string of double-figure scoring games snapped at three, as the Pioneer defense limited him to seven points.
Daniel Holyfield and
Thomas Ellis each had five points, with Auston Chatmam booking four.

Michael Bagwill and
Brett Williams had three points apiece to round out the OPSU scoring.

Panhandle State was unable to deter a hot shooting game by the Pioneers. While WBU hit 62.3 percent (33-53) overall from the floor, the hosts were even more deft from three-point range by hitting nearly 64 percent (14-22). The Aggies shot 36 percent, overall.
