Eagles to much for Aggies

GOODWELL, Okla. Oklahoma Panhandle State Men's Soccer kicked off their conference opener versus John Brown University.

John Brown University scored first at the 27minuinte; Eagles would respond again in three minutes. In the second half, the Eagles would score twice at the 61st and the 67th minute. The Aggies would react at the 70th minute with a goal from Freshman Fabio Caprioli. The Eagles would net the last goal at the 83rd minute finishing the game 5-1 defeat. 

Aggies had a substantial offensive presence during the match, with five strong contested shots on goal, two corner kicks, and were called for two fouls. Sophomore Catalin Nastuta had eight saves. 

After the game, coach Guffin shared, "This game was a huge learning experience and eye opener for us. We did find some positives both from a soccer and cultural perspective. The best thing about this team is we will bounce back even stronger Saturday."

The Aggie soccer programs go on the road to Chickasha, OK Saturday, Oct 1st, taking on the University of Science and Arts. The women's will play at 5:00 PM and the Men's at 7:30 PM.
