Box Score In an exciting matchup today, the Oklahoma Panhandle State University (OPSU) Men's Soccer team faced off against Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) in a hard-fought contest that had fans on the edge of their seats. Despite an intense battle, OPSU ultimately fell to SAGU with a final score of 0-1.
The game began with both teams showcasing their defensive prowess, resulting in a 0-0 tie at the end of the first half. OPSU dominated the shot count in the first half with four shots, while SAGU managed only one. OPSU's goalkeeper, Olai Caicoya, displayed outstanding skills with saves to keep the game level. SAGU's goalkeeper made three saves to deny OPSU any breakthroughs.

OPSU Head Men's Soccer Coach, Garrett Kull, shared his thoughts on the game, stating, "We are searching for the offensive piece, that's how it is playing in the Sooner Athletic Conference with teams who are all organized and can all compete at a similar level, so scoring goals is hard...credit to SAGU for scoring a game winner late; of course, we would have liked to see one ourselves go in or end in a nil-nil draw."
The OPSU Men's Soccer team will look to bounce back as they hit the road this Saturday for another challenging matchup against John Brown Univesity, with the men's game scheduled to kick off following the women's game at approximately 1 PM.
