GOODWELL, Okla- The Aggies track and field went to the Sooner Athletic Conference Championship in Siloam Springs, AK, hosted by John Brown University this weekend. The men's and women's finished seventh out of nine competing institutions.
Senior
Quentin Fankhouser placed first in the men's decathlon getting the Aggies ten points. Fankhouser placed first in the shot put, high jump,110m hurdles, discus, and pole vault.
Senior
Zoe Salazar took second in the women's javelin throwing for a total distance of 31.15m. Salazar took fourth place in the 100m hurdles with a time of 17.34.
Freshman
Tayonna Boley placed second in the women's high jump scoring eight points for the Lady Aggies.
Sophomore
Azucena Carrillo finished with a time of 58.90, placing her in third place.
Senior
Willie McCline finished fifth at 11.09 in the 100m men's dash.
Freshman
Aubree Mora contributed to the 53 points finishing fourth in the 400-meter hurdles.
The Lady Aggies finished second place in the 4x400-meter relay and finished in third place competing in the 4x100-meter relay.
Next, the Aggies will head to Canyon, TX, on May 14th to compete in the West Texas Last Chance Invitational.
