GOODWELL,Okla-The Oklahoma Panhandle State Beta Chapter of Chi Alpha Sigma hosted its annual National College Athletes Honors Banquet on Wednesday, April 17th, in the Student Union ballroom. This annual event celebrates excellence, recognizing student-athletes who have excelled in academics and athletics.

Chi Alpha Sigma, the only national honor society exclusively for collegiate student-athletes, sets the bar high for achievement. It focuses on the 'Four A's': Academics, Attitude, and Achievement, all encapsulated within the motto 'Excellence in Athletics and Academics.'

Eligibility for membership in this honorable organization entails maintaining a minimum 3.4 GPA, Junior standing (60 credit hours/two full semesters at OPSU), while demonstrating exceptional performance in their respective sports by earning a letter.

The banquet magnified with Panhandle State President Dr. Julie Dinger as the keynote speaker, was a testament to the commitment and perseverance of these outstanding individuals.

Chi Alpha Sigma Chapter Advisor Stacy Nordquist commended the remarkable achievements of this year's honorees. Stacy Nordquist, in particular, played a pivotal role in the evening's proceedings, personally presenting each inductee with a certificate acknowledging their induction into Chi Alpha Sigma.
