WICHITA, Kan. – Women's golf team teed off their spring season at the Crest View Spring Invitational, hosted by Friends University from March 10-11 at Crestview Country Club's South Course.

Caitlyn Ambrose led the Aggies as an individual competitor, finishing with a two-round total of 170 (+28), placing her fifth overall in the invitational.

Ambrose carded an opening-round 87 before improving by four strokes in the second round with an 83. Her second round featured a solid back nine, where she posted a 40, finishing with a +12 overall for the day.

Mercedes Vasquez also competed individually, recording a 200 (+58) two-round total. Vasquez scored a 101 in the first round before bouncing back with a 99 in round two, marking an improvement on day two of the competition.

Up next, OPSU women's golf will travel to Mansfield, Texas, for the Tabor College-hosted Walnut Creek Country Club tournament from March 17-18.
