Oklahoma Panhandle State University Athletics Proudly Announces 2025 Hall of Fame Inductee: Adrian Jackson

Goodwell, Okla.— Oklahoma Panhandle State University is honored to announce Adrian Jackson as one of the esteemed inductees into the OPSU Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2025. A standout on the basketball court and a pillar in his community, Jackson's legacy as both an Aggie and a servant leader continues to inspire.

Adrian Jackson suited up for the Aggie men's basketball team from 1994 to 1996 and quickly established himself as a fan favorite. Known for his explosive athleticism, highlight-reel dunks, and ability to score at all levels, Jackson electrified the OPSU Arena every time he stepped onto the court. Jackson's former coach, David Todd, reflected on his star player, saying:
"Adrian was a coach's dream. At 6'0", he played like he was 6'5". He was a great three-point shooter, an unbelievable rebounder, and a lockdown defender."

During the 1995 season, he was recognized for his outstanding play by being named to the NAIA All-Southwest Region Team. He was also given the OPSU Defensive Award that same season.
In his senior campaign (1995-1996), Jackson took his game to new heights, averaging an impressive 19.3 points and 6.6 rebounds per game. That season, he was named Team MVP and earned First Team All-Conference honors in the highly competitive Oklahoma Intercollegiate Conference.

After graduating in December 1996 alongside his wife, Telita Jackson, Adrian dedicated the next chapter of his life to service. The couple began their careers at Cal Farley's Boys Ranch, where they have worked for 28 years. Adrian currently serves as Vice President of Homelife, helping guide and support at-risk youth. His work has earned him several prestigious accolades, including TYNOS Program Person of the Year and Teacher/Counselor of the Year.

Jackson's impact goes far beyond the basketball court. He serves on the Texas Network of Youth Services (TNOYS) board and acts as chairman for the engagement speaker series. He holds numerous certifications relevant to youth counseling and is the co-author of three Amazon best-selling books in the Impact of Influence series (Volumes 8, 9, & 10).
In addition to his work with youth, Jackson has followed another passion—bird hunting and dog training. He founded Poker Straight Kennel and has won multiple championships, including the prestigious American Bird Hunter Association National Championship. He has also earned accolades as a handler and field trial judge.

From scoring on the hardwood to shaping young lives and excelling in field sports, Adrian Jackson exemplifies the well-rounded excellence that defines Aggie greatness. We are proud to welcome him into the OPSU Athletics Hall of Fame.

The Athletic Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony for the Class of 2025 will take place September 20th on the beautiful campus of Oklahoma Panhandle State University.
