Box Score MOORE, Okla. — The Oklahoma Panhandle State men's soccer team (1-1-0) took to the pitch Tuesday afternoon at the South Lakes Soccer Club to play Randall University (1-2-0), where it came out victorious, 5-1.

The victory marked the first win as a collegiate head coach for
Gabriel Gonzalez, and it came in the Aggies' highest-scoring output since Sept. 28, 2021.

OPSU found the back of the net early with a goal from
Othman Gherab, assisted by
Calum Murphy.

Randall University answered midway through the first half, tying the match at 1-1. Neither team could gain an advantage as the score remained knotted through 45 minutes.

Panhandle State's attack came to life almost immediately in the second stanza, beginning with a goal from
Nils Kienass, assisted by
Til Vaupel.

Vaupel followed that up with a goal of his own, and Murphy later teamed up with Gherab again for a goal – this time with Murphy scoring and Gherab with the helper.

Simon Echeverry notched the fifth OPSU goal, set up by
Zusipheyena Gxarisa.

Vaupel, Gherab and Murphy each totaled three points in the contest, using one goal and one assist apiece to accomplish the feat.

Panhandle State looks to build momentum when it welcomes University of the Southwest (1-1-0) to Anchor D Stadium for its home opener Friday at 1 p.m.
