GOODWELL, Okla. — Oklahoma Panhandle State has listed volleyball's
Elena Kagiali and men's soccer's
Othman Gherab as the Aggies of the Week for their performances over the past week of sports, Sept. 15-21.
Kagiali was on a tear this past week as she led the Aggies in kills in each of their three games of conference play. Against both Wayland Baptist and Langston, she put up a monstrous 23 kills apiece to secure the Aggies two crucial wins against top tier opponents to carry their win streak to five games. That stretch ties the program's longest win streak since the 2021 season. Kagiali would tally a total of 55 kills in the three games, with her 23-kill and 22-dig performance against Wayland Baptist being the highlight of the past week of play.
Gherab has been leading for the charge for the Aggies all year, leading the team with four goals on the season, including the game-winning shot in the 1-0 win against Colorado Christian on Thursday night. Gherab also had 10 shots on the week highlighted by tallying six shots with four shots on goal in the 3-3 draw against Adams State on Sunday.
