Goodwell, Okla.—Last week, the Aggies combated Bacone College and ultimately welcomed home their first CSFL win as they took down the Warriors 31-8. This Saturday, Sept. 23 the Aggies return home to face off against the Lyon College Scots at 2 p.m. at No Man's Land Stadium.

Offensively, the Aggies have been accessing and revising the depth chart, but on the whole, Coach Gaskamp is pleased with how the offense looked as they took away a win from the Warriors. The Lyon College Scots, though, may pose some risk to any vulnerability on the Aggies defensive side. Coach Gaskamp is expectant and ready for the challenge, saying, "Defensively they play hard. We need to focus on their play actions and focus on our keys rather than looking in the backfield." Preceding the win over Bacone, Gaskamp acknowledged that special teams needed some revamping, and he believes they have done just that. "I am happy with the changes and we will only continue to get better," expressed Gaskamp.

Quarterback D.J. Scott chiefly helped seal the win against Bacone, completing 18 of 25 passes and connecting for three touchdowns. Gaskamp can only speak highly of Scott's development over the past three games, stating, "D.J. is progressing very well, he played great." Also impressive on the offense were receivers Nick West and Kameron Taylor. West boasted a 100 yard receiving game and linked up with Scott for two touchdowns. The match against Bacone also premiered the appearance of Kameron Taylor, lauded Gaskamp, "He had a big catch in the third quarter; he will have an expanding role, you'll only be hearing his name more."

The Aggies of course want to come away with their second CSFL win and head into the bye week 3-1, but Coach Gaskamp projects they are taking it one game at a time. A win against the Scots would mean an all-win streak for home games for the Aggies and big-time momentum to keep them motivated through a bye week of getting healthy and refocused.

Before the Aggies face the Scots, the campus community is invited to show their appreciation and gratitude in celebrating First Responders with a "Guns 'N Hoses" event during the pre-game tailgate. Panhandle area police and fire fighters will face off in spirited competition and a group of local first responders will be recognized at the game.

A special presentation to the family of former Aggie football coach Mike Wyatt will also take place during Saturday's contest which is sponsored by Apollo Med Flight. The Panhandle State HALO club will also recognize the school's Hispanic student athletes prior the game, as they kick off the celebrations of Hispanic Heritage Month.

Fans are encouraged to arrive early to enjoy the pregame festivities in the Tailgate Zone which opens 3 hours prior to kickoff.
