GOODWELL, Okla. – After 12 days since its last official competition, the Oklahoma Panhandle State University women's soccer team will swing back into action this week with a non-conference match-up at Avila University in Kansas City, Mo., on Thursday (Sept. 19).
The Aggies last played a countable match on September 7. Panhandle was not totally idle during the span, playing an exhibition at Northwestern Oklahoma State University (losing 11-0 to the NCAA Division II squad).

*SCOUTING AVILA: The Eagles are 2-2 overall and are members of the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference. AU is on a two-match win streak, defeating Central Baptist College (6-1) and Baker University (1-0). The Eagles' losses have been at the hands of William Penn (2-1 ot) in the season opener and to No. 5-ranked Benedictine (4-0).
*AGGIES AT-A-GLANCE: Panhandle is 2-1, overall, in its inaugural season of soccer competition. The Aggies last match was a 4-3 overtime loss at Paul Quinn College in Dallas. Prior to that, the team had defeated Texas College twice, in a home-and-home set, 1-0 and 3-2.
*MIRANDA RIGHT: Miranda Cardona tops the OPSU team in scoring with 3 goals (6 points), thus far. She has one match-winning goal. Cardona leads the team in shots (18) and shots on-goal (7), a .389 percentage.
*SURE SHOT: Sam Lopez has been incredibly efficient in her shot attempts for the Aggies this year. In her 7 shots, 6 have been directly on-goal (a percentage of .857). Lopez has 2 goals scored, one a watch-winner.
*SHE'S A KEEPER: OPSU goaltender
Bre Taylor has 10 saves, thus far. Her goals-against average is 1.98 for 272 minutes of action.
*MAKING A LEGACY: Legacy Kugelman has been the Aggies biggest thorn in the side of opponent goalies, with 10 shots on-goal attempted. Overall, Kugelman has 15 shot attempts (.667) and a goal scored.
*NEXT UP FOR OPSU: Panhandle State will play its first-ever Sooner Athletic Conference match on Tuesday (Sept. 24/4 p.m.), when it travels to Wayland Baptist University in Plainview, Texas.
