KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Oklahoma Panhandle State University women's soccer had its final tune-up before opening Sooner Athletic Conference play, dropping a 4-0 decision at Avila University at The Z soccer complex. The loss dropped the Aggies to 2-2 overall, while the Eagles improved to 3-2.
The upstart Panhandle team ran into a buzzsaw of offense by AU side, facing 41 total shots by the hosts (23 in the first half and 18 in the second). The Eagles netted a pair of goals in each half, as well. Conversely, the Aggies were limited to just one shot try – taken by
Miranda Cardona - by the Eagles' defense.

Bre Taylor had a season-high total of 16 saves versus Avila, playing all 90 minutes in the Aggie nets.
Next up for Panhandle State will be its SAC opener at Wayland Baptist University next Tuesday (Sept. 24) in Plainview, Texas. Kickoff will be at 4 p.m.
