BETHANY, Okla. – The Oklahoma Panhandle State University women's soccer team close out the fall, non-conference, portion of its season with a 10-2 loss to Mid-America Christian University. The loss dropped the Aggies to 1-5, while the Evangels improved to 5-1 overall.

MACU had built a 6-0 advantage by halftime before OPSU junior Emily Elliot put her team on the board a little over three minutes into the second stanza of play. Sophia Rodriguez sent the ball toward the front of the goal and Ariana Ramirez sent a little tap pass to Elliot, who finished from five yards out to make it 6-1.

Elliot also tallied Panhandle's second goal of the day. With just seconds left, Elliot made a steal deep in the Evangels' defensive third and hit a 20-yard strike from right of the box to the inside post for the 10-2 final.

Elliot finished with three of the Aggies' six total shots, Jocelyn Martinez had two shots and Ramirez one.

In goal, starting goalie Mya Szymanski and reserve Jackie Gonzales each had three saves, as MACU peppered the OPSU nets with 37 shots (16 on-goal).

The Aggies will resume the 2020-21 season in the spring.
