Box Score GOODWELL, OKLAHOMA: The Oklahoma Panhandle State Aggies hosted the Arizona Christian University Firestorm for their last home game of the season. Despite the favorable stats on the day, the Aggies dropped their final home game to the Firestorm 35-42. 

The day opened in the tailgate area with the 15th Annual Chili Cook-Off. With 18 entries for the cook-off and a costume contest, the mood was light, and the community came out to support the day's events. Anchor D. Stadium was packed and the recently added VIP section was sold out. 

The Aggies entered the stadium 3-4 in the Sooner Athletic Conference and coming off a huge win against Arkansas Baptist University (52-18). Owning nearly 35 minutes of total ball possession, the Aggies put up an impressive 500 yards of total offense. QB Brandon Stephens connected with his receivers for 371 yards and 4 touch downs. Jaishone Brown led the Aggies with 130 reception yards and 1 touchdown. Jamairian Jones had 108 of the Aggie 129 rushing yards. 

The Aggie defense held the line and kept the Firestorm at bay for the majority of the game. Kameron Dickerson led the Aggies with 9 total tackles. The Firestorm, however, were able to put together some consistent drives and tie up the game 35-35 with 9:27 left in the 4th quarter. The Aggies were unable to convert and get down the field, handing the ball back over to the Firestorm with several minutes left in the game. ACU rushed 10 yards for a touchdown to put the Firestorm in the lead with 42-35. The Aggies had 3:15 left on the clock and 1 timeout left to get down the field and get into the end zone. The Aggie offense switched it up with a series of running plays to move down field. 12 plays and 52 yards later, the Aggies could not convert on a 4th down with 0:16 left on the clock. ACU took possession and ended the game by taking a knee to run the clock out. 

Overall, the Aggies demonstrated discipline and saw some outstanding performances from key players. The toolbox for the Aggies continues to get more diverse week after week this season. Panhandle State moves to 4-6 overall and 3-5 in conference after today's loss. The Aggies take to the road to face Ottawa University for the final game of the 2021 season.
