GOODWELL, Okla. - In a heated contest, in more ways than one, the Aggie football team lost to the Texas Wesleyan University Rams with the final score being 49 to 20. The Rams running game and special teams blistered the Aggie defense on the day.

The Aggie's only two touchdowns of the day came off rushes from QB
Brandon Stephens and RB
Jamalrian Jones. The remaining score from a field goal.

The Aggie defense struggled to contain the run game on the day despite their four sacks, five tackles for loss, and three fumble recoveries on the day. The Rams proved to gain a rhythm early on that kept the Aggies on their heels. The Rams rushed for a total of 251 yards averaging 5.6 per carry.
D'Quan Charles led the Aggies with 4 solo and assist tackles on the day.

The Aggie offense showed periods of execution and succeeded in putting together several drives that got them in the red zone on 5 occasions. The Aggies were able to convert 4 of those into points on the board. Although the Aggies rushed for only 39 yards on the day, the passing game was on fire with 200 total yards. With a strategy of a 3 QB rotation, the Aggies were able to complete 16 on 39 attempts with 0 interceptions. The QB trio averaged over 12 yards per completion. Two wide receivers stood out with each pitching in over 60 yards in receiving yardage:
Daishawn Brimage and
