Lord, Applebury Earn Aggies of the Week

GOODWELL, Okla. - Aggie softball's Kaitlyn Lord (Colorado Springs, Colorado) and baseball's Jonathan Applebury (Westminister, California, have been named the Oklahoma Panhandle State University "Aggies of the Week''.

Junior catcher Kaitlyn Lord was electric in the Aggie's last tournament of the preseason. Finishing the four-game tournament with a team-leading .462 batting average. Accumulating five RBIs, four runs, six hits, and a walk with a home run and double. Lord's performance hit its height on the weekend against Kansas Wesleyan. A three-for-four performance with two runs scored and five RBIs.

Senior catcher/first baseman Jonathan Applebury was the lone spark for the Aggies offense in their first conference series of the year. Hitting .600 over the three games against the Mid-America Christian Evangels. The highlight of the weekend came from his two home run performance in game two. Applebury finished the weekend with six RBIs, three runs scored, six hits with two home runs, and a double.
