GOODWELL, Okla- Aggies Track and Field competed in the Joe Meaker Classic and Multi in Canyon, TX, hosted by West Texas A&M University. It was a three-day event that started on Thursday, April 6th and finished on Saturday, April 8th.
Aggies competed in 29 individual events.
Freshman
Bonita Gray competed in the Women 800-meter run and finished second place with a time of 2:25.Gray could also compete in the Women 1500 meter run, finishing in fifth with a time of 5:07.
Senior
Zoe Salazar had another impressive finish placing fourth in the Women Javelin throw. Salazar's throw traveled 123 feet(37.74 meters).
Freshman
Augustus Fields competed in two events finishing in second in the Men 400 meter dash with a time of 51.14. Fields would also finish second in the 1500-meter dash decathlon with a time of 4:37.
In the men, Javelin throw decathlon; senior
Quentin Fankhouser finished fifth with a distance of 41.10 meters.
Aggies will return to Canyon, TX, when they compete in the Buffalo Invitational on April 22nd.
