This week's Anchor D Bank Aggies of the Week go to Martin Blake from football and Helen Poer from women's rodeo.
Martin Blake stood out on the ground and through the air in the Aggies' 38-3 victory over North American University on November 2. He recorded 135 rushing yards on 16 carries, averaging an impressive 8.4 yards per carry, and scored two rushing touchdowns, including a long run of 27 yards. Blake also had two receptions for 118 yards and two touchdowns, including an 85-yard reception. His all-purpose yardage totaled 253 yards.
Helen Poer's 2.3-second run in the long round placed her in a split for fourth through ninth place. Poer then stepped up her performance with a 2.2-second run in the short round, earning her third place in the average. Her impressive timing and consistency have marked her as a strong competitor.
