Home Cooking
For fans noticing a delicious smell pregame, a rib cook-off will be held for pre-registered contestants in the OPSU Tailgate Area.

Prior to that, OPSU volleyball wraps up a seven-match homestand versus College of the Ozarks at 12 p.m. The game is the seventh NAIA contest on campus during the week, with the Aggies yet to lose through six games (Volleyball 2-0, Men's Soccer 1-0-1, Women's Soccer 1-0-1).

4 PM: Football Game versus Nelson
OPSU (1-4, 0-3 SAC) kicks off the eighth varsity home game across Aggie Athletics for the week with a matchup presented by Farm Credit of Western Oklahoma at 4 p.m. versus Nelson (1-3, 0-2). Tickets can be purchased at opsuaggies.com/tickets, and a free live stream is available on both the Urban Edge Network and SAC Network.

In addition to reserved tailgating open, Aggie fans are encouraged to check out the Fan Zone, new for the 2025 season. The Fan Zone opens 30 minutes before kickoff and is located just outside the northwest endzone.

Series History: OPSU leads the all-time series 10-6, including a blowout 46-23 victory the last time the teams met at Anchor D Stadium in 2023. The Aggies are looking to make it three official wins in a row over the Lions.

Aggies Game Notes: Panhandle State is battle-tested, having already faced three teams currently appearing in the NAIA Top-25 Polls (RV Peru State, No. 13 OUAZ, RV Louisiana Christian) and another top-tier NCAA Division III opponent in East Texas Baptist.

OPSU has gotten off to a fast start in each of its past two games, scoring on its opening drives in both. The Aggie defense has also showcased its potential throughout the season, limiting its opponent to three points or fewer in a quarter on 10 occasions this season, including shutting out the opponent in the first quarter in both of the past two contests.

Lions Game Notes: The Lions have produced consistent offensive production, ranking third overall in offense in the SAC and fourth in both rushing and passing yards per game. Wide receiver Zach Fuller has been the team's most dangerous playmaker, hauling in 19 passes for 356 yards and four touchdowns this season.

Though Nelson has struggled against the pass giving up nearly 10 yards per attempt, its defense has come up with six interceptions, four forced fumbles and four fumble recoveries through four games.
