GOODWELL, Okla. — Oklahoma Panhandle State University proudly recognizes
Porter Hall from rodeo and
Trinity Higgins from softball as this week's Anchor D Bank Aggies of the Week for their outstanding performances
.
Porter Hall made waves in the team roping event alongside partner Jaytyn Hash from Garden City Community College. The duo delivered an impressive 5.8-second time in the long round, securing the top spot heading into the short round. Unfortunately, a barrier penalty in the final round resulted in a 15.0-second run, placing them outside the average standings.
Trinity Higgins had a record-breaking week on the softball field,
becoming the all-time single-season stolen base leader for OPSU. She surpassed the previous record of 25 stolen bases and added eight more this past week. In a four-game series against Texas Wesleyan, Higgins was a force at the plate and on the bases, batting .583 (7-for-12) with seven runs scored, one RBI, and three walks. Her speed was a difference-maker as she went 8-for-9 in stolen base attempts, helping lead the Aggies to three wins in the series.
