Oklahoma Panhandle State University

Jerry Havens, born and raised in Cordell, Oklahoma, was a guard on the OPSU Men's Basketball team for four years. He graduated with a Bachelor of Business Education. After receiving his degree from OPSU, Havens stayed as an Assistant Coach for the Aggies. Havens coached high school basketball for 38 years and was an Assistant Football Coach for four years. 

 Jerry and his wife, Susan, are semiretired. He works part-time for the Oklahoma Coaches Association, and Susan evaluates student teachers for Oklahoma State University. Their two sons, Ja and Jon, are basketball coaches at the college level, and each has won National Championships in their Divisions. Havens has been inducted into three other Hall of Fames: Oklahoma Coaches Association, Oklahoma Basketball Coaches Association, and the National High School Coaches Association.
