Rodeo Prepares for "Doc" Gardner Memorial

GUYMON, Okla. - The Oklahoma Panhandle State Rodeo teams prepare to host the 2022 "Doc" Gardner Memorial Rodeo. The event will take place Thursday, April 28th through Saturday, April 30th. Start time for Thursday and Friday events will be at 7 PM while the start time for Saturday's events will be 2 PM. Friday morning slack will start at 9 AM. 

OPSU women will compete in breakaway roping, goat tying, and barrel racing. The men will compete in the remaining events and both will come together for team roping. Those who finish top ten out of each event will qualify to compete on Saturday. 

The event will be free admission for everyone. No need to show student or faculty to enter.

The order of events will be as follows:

Bareback
Tie down
Breakaway
1st Section - Saddle Bronc
Steer Wrestling
2nd Section - Saddle Bronc
Goat Tying
Steer Scramble
Team Roping
Barrel Racing 
Bull Riding

Friday Morning Slack - 9:00 AM
