Goodwell, OK. – The Oklahoma Panhandle State University men's and women's rodeo teams put forth a strong showing at the Fort Scott Community College Rodeo over the weekend, with several Aggies advancing to the short round and securing top finishes.

Leading the way for the women's team, Parker McIntyre delivered a standout performance in the goat tying. McIntyre clocked a time of 7.1 seconds in the long round, splitting first and second heading into the short round. She improved her time in the finals, turning in a 6.8-second run to claim the average win.

Teammate Kiley Slavin also made a strong showing in the barrel racing event, running a 13.52-second time in the long round to place fourth heading into the short round. Unfortunately, a knocked barrel in the finals resulted in an 18.47-second run, knocking her out of the average race.

On the men's side, Porter Hall made waves in the team roping event with partner Jaytyn Hash from Garden City Community College. The duo turned in a swift 5.8-second time in the long round, putting them in the number one spot heading into the short round. However, a barrier penalty in the short round led to a 15.0-second run, placing them outside the average standings.

Cade Bell had a busy weekend, competing in saddle bronc riding and steer wrestling. In the bronc riding event, Bell secured the fifth-place spot in the long round with a 75-point ride and matched that score in the short round, finishing fourth in the average. Bell also made a short-round appearance in steer wrestling after posting a 9.1-second run in the long round. He improved to a 6.4-second in the finals but could not crack the top four.

In the short round of the saddle bronc riding, Bell was joined by teammates Riley Stark and Kody Cavender. Stark turned in a 70-point score in the long round, tying for seventh and eighth place. He followed up with a 72-point ride in the short round, finishing just outside the average standings. Cavender posted a 66-point ride in the long round to earn the 11th spot, improving to 72 points in the finals but also falling short of the money.

Team roping partners Cooper Wood and Dawson Strecker turned in a solid 7.5-second time in the long round, splitting 10th and 11th place heading into the short round. A five-second penalty in the finals led to a 12.6-second run, placing them outside the average standings.

These performances earned the women's team the second-place spot overall, and the men's team split seventh and eighth.
