GOODWELL, Okla. — The 2025-26 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® At-Large Teams were announced Tuesday by CSC, with men's golf seniors
Thantup Saengvut and
Takudzwa Basopo collecting the honors for Oklahoma Panhandle State.
Saengvut, who recently graduated with a business degree, was consistent as the Aggies' No. 2 golfer throughout his senior year. He concluded the 2025-26 season with a trio of top-10 finishes, including a top-five showing at the Central Plains Invite which netted him a Sooner Athletic Conference Men's Golfer of the Week award. The Rayong, Thailand, native totaled seven rounds of 75 or better, highlighted by four under-par rounds and a season-low of 69 at the Carmichael Cup in September 2025.
Basopo maintained a stellar cumulative GPA above 3.9 in his college career while majoring in business administration and management. He participated in all 10 of the team's competitions and shot 80 or better four times. The senior from Harare, Zimbabwe, had his year highlighted by his team-leading, opening-round 79 at RainDance National in the "Battle at the Dance" that concluded the fall season.
The golfers' selections mark the first time in the 2020s decade that any OPSU athlete has been named to an Academic All-District At-Large Team.
